ScaleKeep (“we”, “our”, or “us”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application ScaleKeep (the “App”).
We use the information we collect to:
Your pet information, care records, and photos are stored locally on your device, and we do not have access to them. Only data posted to the community feed is stored in the CloudKit Public Database as described below, which we may access in order to handle deletion requests.
If you enable iCloud sync, your pet care data will be stored in your personal iCloud account using Apple’s CloudKit Private Database. This data is protected by Apple’s security measures and is only accessible by you through your Apple ID.
The community feed has been discontinued and can no longer be viewed or posted to from the App. No new data is collected or made public through it.
If you used this feature in the past, the following data remains stored in Apple’s CloudKit Public Database:
Purpose and period of retention: We retain this data so that it can be carried over if we bring the feature back. We will decide whether to resume it by the end of March 2027, and will erase any remaining data if we do not.
How to delete it: The App’s Settings screen shows “Delete Community Data”. This item appears only when deletable data (posts, comments, likes, follows, or a profile) is found, and it requires being signed in to iCloud, online, and having iCloud sync on.
If the item above does not appear, turn iCloud sync on and restart the App; the dedicated item will then appear.

Settings → “Delete All Data” also deletes your community data, but it deletes your pet information, care records, photos, and iCloud data as well. Do not use it if you only want to delete your community data.
Deleting the App does not automatically remove data from CloudKit Public Database, so please delete it before uninstalling. If you have already deleted the App, contact us at info@alivedesign.jp.
Scope of deletion: We delete your post, photo, comment, like, and follow records, and clear your display name, bio, and avatar. The user record that Apple generates automatically cannot be deleted due to how CloudKit works, so it remains as an identifier from which we cannot identify you. Comments that other users left on your posts are their own data and are not deleted.
Note: Google, which provides our advertising (AdMob) and analytics (Firebase / Google Analytics), collects and processes device identifiers and usage data to deliver and measure ads (see “Third-Party Services” below). This is separate from the content you enter as pet records.

The free version of the App displays advertisements provided by Google AdMob. AdMob may collect the following information:
Personalized advertising is based on your consent preferences shown at app launch. Pro subscribers do not see advertisements. For more information, see Google’s Privacy Policy.
The App uses Google’s Firebase / Google Analytics to measure how the App is used, to improve features, and to measure advertising performance. The information collected includes:
This data may be linked with Google Ads and used to measure and optimize advertising. Personalization and tracking for advertising purposes are based on your choice in the App Tracking Transparency prompt shown at app launch; if you do not allow it, tracking for these purposes is not performed.

The App is not intended for children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

How to make a request: Contact us at info@alivedesign.jp. To verify your identity, we will cross-check the details of your request against the data we hold. We will respond within one month of the request as a rule.
Complaints: If you are not satisfied with our response, you may complain to the Personal Information Protection Commission of Japan (https://www.ppc.go.jp/en/).
Your pet information, care records, and photos remain on your device until you delete the App. If you enable iCloud sync, the data in the Private Database is retained until you turn sync off or delete it from the Settings screen.
Data posted to the community feed is retained for the purpose and period described under “Community Feed” above.
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the “Last Updated” date.
