AliveDesign ("we", "our", or "us") operates the Virtue Lock mobile application (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use our App.

Our Core Principle

Virtue Lock is designed with privacy at its core. We do not collect, transmit, or store your personal data on any external server. All your data stays on your device.

Information Stored on Your Device

The following information is stored locally on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework and is never transmitted to us or any third party:

• Virtue records — the category, description, and date of each good deed you log
• Streak and statistics — your daily streak count and cumulative points
• App settings — your lock schedule preferences and selected blocked apps

Screen Time API

Virtue Lock uses Apple's Screen Time API (FamilyControls, ManagedSettings, DeviceActivity) to enable the app-blocking feature. The selection of which apps to block is handled entirely by Apple's framework and is stored securely on your device. We cannot see or access the specific apps you choose to block. Apple's Screen Time API is designed so that app selection tokens are opaque to developers.

Speech Recognition

The App offers an optional voice input feature powered by Apple's Speech Framework. Voice recognition is processed on your device. We do not record, store, or transmit your audio data. The recognized text is saved locally as part of your virtue record.

Subscriptions and Payments

Payments are processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. We do not collect, process, or store any payment information such as credit card numbers or billing addresses. For details on how Apple handles your payment data, please refer to Apple's Privacy Policy.

Third-Party Services

Virtue Lock does not integrate any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services. We do not share your data with any third parties.

Children's Privacy

Virtue Lock is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Since all data is stored locally on the device and we do not collect any personal data, the App does not pose specific privacy risks to children.

Data Deletion

Since all data is stored locally on your device, you can delete all your data at any time by uninstalling the App. No data will remain on any server because no data is ever transmitted to one.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Effective Date" below.
