Virtue Lock by AliveDesign
Please read these Terms of Use ("Terms") carefully before using the Virtue Lock mobile application (the "App") operated by AliveDesign ("we", "our", or "us").
By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
Virtue Lock is a habit-forming iOS application that encourages users to reflect on and record daily acts of kindness. The App uses Apple's Screen Time API to optionally block selected apps until a virtue is recorded.
Virtue Lock is a subscription-based service. Access to the App requires an active subscription.

New subscribers are eligible for a 3-day free trial. You will not be charged during the trial period. If you do not cancel before the trial ends, your subscription will automatically convert to a paid subscription.
Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your Apple ID account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period.
You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time through your Apple ID account settings or the App Store. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. No refunds are provided for partial billing periods.
Virtue Lock operates on an honor system. Users self-report their acts of kindness, and the App does not verify the accuracy or truthfulness of any records. We make no representations about the accuracy of user-submitted content. The App is intended as a personal reflection tool, and users are solely responsible for the content they record.
The app-blocking feature relies on Apple's Screen Time API. Please be aware of the following:

The App, including its design, code, graphics, and content, is owned by AliveDesign and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes in accordance with these Terms.
The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components. We make no guarantees regarding the effectiveness of the App in forming habits or improving behavior.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, AliveDesign shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of profits, or damages arising from the use or inability to use the App.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless AliveDesign from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the App or violation of these Terms.
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be effective when posted on this page. Your continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Japan, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
